At the beginning of September, an unusual floating exhibition center was officially opened in Norway, which was completed at Marketex Marine, a subsidiary of the BLRT Group. The complex named Salmon Eye is located in the picturesque Hardangerfjord, which is visited by thousands of tourists every year.

"BLRT Grupp has contributed to the development of aquaculture in Norway for many years: over the past decades, we have built and installed nearly 400 fish farms in Norwegian fjords. However, such a rarity has been born in our hands for the first time. I would also like to add that the project was implemented almost exactly as the Danish architect and Norwegian designers initially visualized their solution," emphasized Fyodor Kvič , chairman of the board of Marketex Marine .

The opening ceremony of Salmon Eye was attended by Estonian Ambassador to Norway Lauri Bambus, Undersecretary for Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications Kaupo Läänerand, Head of the Enterprise and Export Center of the EAS and KredEx Joint Institution Sven Aulik and Norwegian Fisheries Minister Bjørnar Selnes Skjæran.

"Estonian companies have repeatedly proven their ability to implement even the most complex projects of Norwegian clients. The opening of the Salmon Eye swimming center once again testifies to the strong foundation of the Estonian-Norwegian partnership and close cooperation, which will surely go down in the history of the relations between our countries. The fact that BLRT Grupp was chosen to implement the project shows that it is an expert and qualified operator. The trust of Norwegian customers motivates Estonian companies to fulfill their obligations well and on time, which creates a favorable breeding ground for concluding new contracts in the future," said the Estonian ambassador to Norway, Lauri Bambus .

"The Salmon Eye project vividly demonstrates the capability of the industrial group BLRT Grupp, which was responsible for the construction of the floating center for the Estonian marine industry and exhibitions. The completed complex is an excellent example of international cooperation: the decision to order an extraordinary project from the Norwegians, a unique design from the Danes and top execution from the Estonians. All this shows that the strength of the Estonian maritime industry is customer-oriented and high-quality special projects," said Kaupo Läänerand, Deputy Chancellor of the Maritime Economy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.

The exhibition center is 26 meters long and wide, 15 meters high and weighs nearly 1,000 tons. The structure consists of a pontoon and an unusual elliptical superstructure that resembles a fish eye. 9,500 high-quality stainless steel "scales" have been installed on the exterior of the building, which give a glimpse of the color and texture of the salmon's scales with their special shine.

Salmon Eye was commissioned by the Norwegian company Fluctus and is the first unique exhibition center where visitors are introduced to the trends and possibilities of sustainable development of the aquaculture sector. The new tourist attraction can only be visited by boats from late autumn.
